The quilt is a long way from done, but I am making progress on it.. am I crazy for becoming really attached to my quilting hoop? I guarded it fiercely on the flights to and from Savannah..
For now I am doing some basic outlining of the major pieces, and then I will go back in and do some decorative stitching. I want to echo that leafy vine pattern on the darker fabric, and add some other fun stuff.

Back when I used to hand quilt often, my fingers (on the hand under the quilt) would get so sore from pricking them. Now, I'm going to a machine quilting class but really miss the good old fashioned way!
the colors are really great - looks fantastic. of course, i'm just painfully reminded of ALL the projects I want to be doing instead of studying. Another month, damn it. And then, watch out. I've a sewing machine to buy that's got my name on it!
