Baskets

Baskets are beautiful, versatile, and - my favorite part - cheap. They come in all colors and textures and sizes. They can dress up a room or make it feel casual and welcoming. Not to mention they are replacable, paintable, and stackable! Check out these sources for great baskets:

IKEA
Despite the sudden onset of forceful sneezing that always accompanies a visit to the IKEA garden/basket section, I can't stay away from their selection or their prices. The shapes and proportions here are very European, so they lend themselves to more modern furnishings and smaller spaces. You can also find a wealth of decorating ideas by wandering through the sample rooms.

World Market
I also spend a lot of time sneezing in World Market. :) But they have lots of baskets in tons of shapes and sizes. The design of these baskets lends itself to rustic, eclectic, or exotic styles, but there's something for everyone. While you are there, check out their lovely dishes and wines!

Comments

I as searching for large baskets for my indoor palm trees. Someting more textured like seagrass or a more elegant typed weave, not simply wicker. I am not a decorator and would have a minimum order.
